Roofs Sat May 20 9-5pm Hands-on build of a small living roof for a load-bearing strawbale library at TheSolarStudio in SE Portland. This workshop includes lecture, design ideas, structural details, water management and northwest plants that are appropriate to living roofs. Bring good shoes, gloves and lunch. workshop in Mt. Shasta, California Dates TBD (spring/summer weather permitting) We designed and are building an eco house in Mt. Shasta. Rastra block and framing built fall 2005. Will put up straw walls as soon as the snow melts. House details: Passive solar, PV, Rainwater collection, Rastra, Strawbale, Recycled trusses, and lots more. $100 for a 2 day workshop (includes lunch) Camping on site & town options Mt.
